Be eco-friendly - remix your garbage (0/10)
It's a bland electroclash tune with extremely stupid lyrics that were meant to be funny, but failed miserably. The original mix is accompanied by several remixes of varying, but not so high, quality. It doesn't matter anyhow, because remixing such an atrocious piece of garbage like this one is pointless anyhow and does not qualify for listening. Even one star is too much for this - it deserves 0/5 rating. The album has been released by the 49manekinow.net netlabel and is available for downloading at archive.org in mp3 format. |

Rastadeush - "Hard Beat Dilla"
Hard techno, heavily influenced by house and disco (5/10)

Newest full length release of our most controversial artist! This guy refused to cooperate with people from electroclash.pl, he was made one of the best Michael Jackson (when king was alive) and Madonna cover that we ever heard .. not the end .. this bonker young hooligan prepared a great never released remix for one of well known polish electroclash/power-pop group called yummy cake. if you're thirsty of dirty, street electro, ghetto tek sounds in the horrorist mood, this release is waiting for you...
This is a hard techno album, heavily influenced by house and disco. Too much influenced for my liking... While it is professionally crafted, it just felt primitive with all those tiring marked beats and stupid generic vocal interludes. However, 4 tracks stand out from the crowd, showing the true talent of Rastadeush:
02 - No One Knows
05 - Hard Beat Dilla
09 - Dark Symphony
12 - Billie Jean (Rastadeush remix)
Check them out.

KraftiM - "JamatriX"
Nice ambient (8/10)

Your works get better and better. This one, for the first time, has no weak points for me and the songs are of equal quality. Every track is very fine. It's pure ambient, but creative and full of interesting sounds, melodies and atmosphere.

Keiner, Fabio - "Heavy Waters II"
Extremely calm dark ambient (9/10)
This is extremely calm and quiet ambient. Totally orthodox (that is - completely devoid of rhythms). I usually don't like such music, as it is often boring - I think it is very difficult to make such music interesting. But Mr. Keiner succeeds. His method of keeping the listener's attention focused is to break long quiet drones with very disturbing, dark sounds. It introduces a disturbing atmosphere to the whole recording, 'cause you listen carefully thinking what lurks around the bend. It's like a sonic version of a scary horror movie. Well done! |

Subvulture & KraftiM - "Amoeba, On Hot Rocks, At The Birth Of The Earth"
Very nice electronica (8/10)
Very very nice electronica. Partly ambient, partly experimental, never boring, often surprising. However, while I believe it is a remix of KraftiM's work, I didn't hear that at all. For me, it is a completely separate work that should be judged on its own merits. If someone expects to hear slightly changed KraftiM's tunes, he will be totally shocked. But it's not a complaint, just a disclaimer. Check it out if you like intelligent electronic music. [Artist's website] |

Love My Vulture - "Too Much Blood In My Caffeine System"
Good techno/electronica remix album (7/10)
This is really fun to listen to. However, I must say that listening to such albums I always wonder how much of the work here has been done by a DJ and how much is just a merit of the original artists. Is it something more than copying and pasting several catchy tunes one after another, sometimes only with some transition effects added? If so, where's the added value? Where's the "art"? Where's the creativity? In skillful use of CTRL+C & CTRL+V? Nevertheless, this is exactly the case where you can feel why jamendo is such a great place. Guess what! You can check all the original tracks out. Right here right now. For free. You can compare them with these remixed versions. You can even try to remix them better. I haven't listened to the originals yet, so my opinion is based only on listening to this album. And, as I already said, it was fun. |
