Akusto, Ben - "TeddyBear Trilogee"

Very good album (8/10)

This single was originally published somewhere between 1996 ans 1997. Can't remember exactly when. Some of these songs were also made together with Al Cabaro alias Parametric. Thanks to AC and thanks to all my friends.

Republished May 2007. Have fun!

Very good album. Interesting electronic tunes plus one of the funniest parodies I've ever heard (07 - Sick Ted). It's completely crazy and I love it.

Lobotomia - "Kazik to ..."

Maybe next time (5/10)

Very short two-track minialbum from the Polish rock band Lobotomia. The first song is a pitiful attack on one of the greatest Polish rock singer-songwriters, Kazik Staszewski. Some of Kazik's recent actions are truly controversial, but this song is clearly reckoned on causing a scandal and gaining notoriety this way. Their whole idea of making fun of Kazik is based on calling him a prick. Wow... how creative. Bad production completes the picture.

The second track is far more interesting. Forgettable lyrics do not get in the way this time and the music is quite catchy and better produced. But the funny thing is that so hated Kazik is their direct influence to the point of slavish copying of the style of his band Kult.

They should really rethink their promotion strategy, because they obviously can do better than that.

The album has been self-released by the band and is available for downloading at mediafire.com file-sharing website in mp3 format.

Behedos - "Arghh!"

Listen on mute (0/10)

Absolutely terrible rock demo. It's not worth even the time required to write a review, so I will try to be brief.

I suppose the band tried to take a parodical approach to several genres of rock music. But they failed, because of their absolute lack of skill. They are so totally inept, it hurts. They cannot sing, they cannot play, they cannot write music or lyrics, they cannot record.

Change the hobby guys. Or at least don't record your sessions. Or - if you really have to record them - don't publish the results. Have mercy for humanity.

The album has been released on Jamendo and is available for downloading in mp3 or ogg format.

Chlopomania - "Chlopomania" [SP]

Bland electroclash (2/10)

Some of our friends started to practice old polish idea of life. They were tired of everyday citylife. They decide to go back to the village. If you like to know what they found on their way, download this short single neccesary. Chlopomania is a nice piece of fresh commodore, acid electroclash with nice vocals and lyrics. This song can fight for a title of 2009 summer hit! In some ways, this song is similar to some well known polish electro / rap hit. Do you know which hit is it? Do you know why? Do you want to guess?

Beware!
It's bland electroclash, with lyrics that were meant to be funny, but are just stupid, and a tiring synthetic tune. Waste of time.

The album has been released by the 49manekinow.net netlabel and is available for downloading at archive.org in mp3 format.
