The Prodigy are an English electronic dance music group formed by Liam Howlett in 1990 in Braintree, Essex. Along with Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers and The Crystal Method, as well as other acts, members of the Prodigy have been credited as pioneers of the big beat genre which achieved mainstream popularity in the 1990s and 2000s. They have sold over 25 million records worldwide. Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned is just underwhelming. For a group that has historically specialized in getting your attention any way it possibly could, the fact that I found many of the tracks to be predictably rote is probably as damning an indictment as I can offer. The Prodigy have made a career out of consistently upping the ante with every single release: the rave landmark Experience was followed by the more expansive, more ambitious Music for the Jilted Generation, which was followed by the leaner, angrier Fat of the Land. This is the first Prodigy album that does not in some way build of its predecessor, and it suffers. Certainly, Fat of the Land II would have been an uninspiring choice, but it seems as if this album is more concerned with abjuring the regrettable decisions of the past few years than in building a new a new and dynamic sound. Watch out - in the very popular and easily available in the Internet rip of the Japanese release [2004.08 - Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned (Sony SRCP 373)] one of the tracks is not lossless - it's a recoded mp3 (10 - You'll Be Under My Wheels.flac). This rip is popular as it has an additional track. So my recommendation is to download XLCD 183. rip and then add "13 - More Girls.flac" from the Sony SRCP 373 rip.
